Why C4PL
IT outsourcing since 2008

- What blocks your work comes first
- On-call and monitoring 24/7 on request
Experience
From the company’s first day
C4PL was founded in 2008. That same year we started working for a nationwide retail chain, and it remains our longest client relationship.
We run the core of their infrastructure: servers, network and virtualisation. Once the cloud became the norm, we moved their whole virtual environment there. We look after it day to day.
Ground rules
We agree the rules before we start
First we pin down your needs and who is responsible for what. Then we agree how we will work together, launch the service and review how it performs at regular intervals.
Response times and any on-call cover go into the contract, so you know them from day one.
Technologies
From the server room to the cloud
We work on environments that have run in companies for years and on ones built from scratch. Physical servers, virtualisation and storage arrays are as much part of our daily work as the cloud and identity-based access.
We are vendor-independent. We name the vendor after analysing your environment, not at the start of the conversation.
We know these environments from daily work.

Selected projects
A few projects that show how we work.
Server room migration between data centres
A complete move of a company's infrastructure: 38 network and server devices across 4 stages, with zero unplanned interruptions to critical services.
See the projectNetwork and server monitoring in Elastic Stack
Several thousand devices under constant watch: one dashboard that shows the state of the network in 30 seconds.
See the projectBackup with a restore drill
A backup policy with regular, documented data restores.
See the projectTwo data centres, one network
Core routing stretched across two sites: the existing Catalyst switches stay, the new server room gets a Cisco Nexus core.

FAQ
Before you ask
Can you take over the infrastructure we already have?
Yes. We start by checking what you run and how it works, then take it over as it stands, without replacing everything at once. Changes come later, each with a reason.
How quickly do you respond to problems?
Response times and any round-the-clock cover are set in the contract. We do not work through tickets in order. We start with whatever blocks work the most, and monitoring catches some failures before anyone reports them.
Do you take over all of IT, or can you also support our own admin?
Both. We can run all of IT, or step in where your team needs support: a larger rollout, out-of-hours cover, or an area nobody there works on day to day. We agree the split at the start, so it is clear who owns what.
Let us start with a conversation
